
Kazan (UNA) – At the invitation of Kazan Federal University, a delegation from the Union of News Agencies of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) to the Republic of Tatarstan, headed by the Director General of the Union, delivered a lecture at the university on Friday, May 16, 2025, entitled “Media of the Future in the Present: Content and Technologies.” The lecture was attended by a number of students and those interested in media and international affairs.
During the lecture, the focus was on partnerships and areas of cooperation with media outlets in Tatarstan, including local news agencies and the Ministry of Information. Opportunities for launching successful joint initiatives were discussed, most notably an interactive news platform, the organization of training workshops, and programs to combat media disinformation and address the challenges of the digital age.
The UNA delegation also reviewed the Union's vision for utilizing modern technology to enhance cultural dialogue, disseminate facts, and build bridges of communication between peoples, calling for expanding joint cooperation through the joint digital archive project, which aims to preserve, document, and enhance media content to serve shared values.
The Federation's Director General, Mr. Mohammed Abdrabuh Al-Yami, participated in the annual meeting of the Strategic Vision Group: Russia - the Islamic World, held in Kazan, the capital of the Republic of Tatarstan, on May 15 and 16, 2025, to discuss the topic: "The Experience of Russia and the Countries of the Islamic World in the Field of Youth Policies... Common Challenges and Joint Efforts."
