Jeddah (UNA) – The Director General of the Union of OIC News Agencies (UNA), Mr. Mohammed bin Abdulrab Al-Yami, received today, Monday, April 27, 2026, at the Union’s headquarters in Jeddah, His Excellency Mr. Aghajavd Ramazanov, Advisor to the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
During the meeting, the Director General reviewed the Union’s most prominent programs and initiatives aimed at developing media work in member states and enhancing coordination and integration among news agencies in the Islamic world.
His Excellency the Advisor was also briefed on the Union’s efforts to support the media presence of member states, and its plans to highlight Azerbaijan’s achievements in various fields at the regional and international levels.
For his part, Ramadanov praised the role played by the Union in serving Islamic media and promoting a positive image of member states, stressing his country’s keenness to expand areas of media cooperation with UNA.
During the meeting, ways to enhance joint cooperation between the two sides were discussed, in order to contribute to achieving common goals and supporting joint media work.
