OIC Secretary General receives new Norwegian Ambassador to Saudi Arabia

Jeddah (UNA) – The Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Mr. Hussein Ibrahim Taha, received yesterday, October 21, 2024, at the headquarters of the General Secretariat, Gersti Tromsdal, the new Ambassador of the Kingdom of Norway to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed ways to enhance cooperation between the organization and the Kingdom of Norway and exchanged views on issues of common interest, especially the Palestinian issue.

The Secretary-General commended Norway's contribution to strengthening international peace and security and its support for development efforts in the Organization's member states.

For her part, the Norwegian Ambassador expressed her appreciation for the role played by the Organization of Islamic Cooperation at the international level.
